Hello, I'm looking for a 57 Dodge 315 Poly/Hemi 4 bbl intake part number 1735774. I'm looking for one in good condition with no modifications to the carburetor mounting pad. If you have one for sale, let me know how much with shipping to zip code 21236. Thanks.

Just so you have search options, the 1735 774 4bbl intake manifold was used on the 57 *325* cu in V8s. It has a "well" beside the carburetor where the bimetal spring choke-driver lives.

One alternative is the 1731 515 1956 D500 *315* hemi 4bbl intake. It is pretty much the same as the 1957 1735 774 except there is no "well" for choke-driver. You would have to go electric choke or use an hot air tube and different style choke.

Thank you. I did find a 56 intake but without the choke well, not really what I want. I happen to have a correct choke and carburetor I want to use foy my trucks 315 hemi build. Definitely in the market for the 57 intake. Thanks again for the info.

P.S. Nice 56! Love the color combo!

Nice photos and ads. I'd love to get a hold of the five speed they used to put in those big trucks. The choke on a 57 is manual, located to the left of the dash which cracks me up as the manifold has the provision for the well choke. It's hard to believe they'd really save anything by routing and installing a choke cable vs.having a well type choke on the intake already mounted from the engine plant. I'm guessing it made sense to some penny pincher in corporate!

There are quite a few NOS 57-well style chokes available on eBay, if/when you find an appropriate intake manifold:

Nice video. I'm fortunate enough to have a D500 choke and carburetor, just need the intake now. Will keep looking. Thanks!

New member here, just listed this part number intake and original carter 4bbl carb on that auction website everybody hates E**y. I'm in Las Vegas, would prefer someone to pick it up, but I will ship. Beginning of March 2023
I had this running not that long ago, so this is very usable stuff, I would give it a good cleaning. I also have the distributor from that engine, complete but somebody did a pertronix electronic conversion on it

The PN is correct for a 325 manifold and it looks like it has he built-in choke well in the intake manifold. But the carburetor is place on the manifold incorrectly, turned 180 degrees wrong (?).

(The choke well and the choke have to be on the same side (the right side)

Intake is 57 325 4bbl. Carb is a '56 Plymouth power pack with incorrect choke assembly. I have put together a correct 57 D-500 4bbl setup for my truck (not for sale). If anyone needs pics, let me know.

I see the tag on the carb as a Carter 2302S which is PN 1636 645, which, as you say, is the 56 Plymouth Power Pack (but not the 56 Fury) carb.

I think that the intake could be used on a 56 315 if you added a blanking plate over the choke well opening. And then used a carb like the Plymouth power pack carb and choke heat tube.

Absolutely. It will work on the 315 no problem. Only consideration is if the 315 has power steering or not. If so, the '56 intake had a hole up front on the driver's side to mount the combination power steering pump/generator. I'm sure a bracket could easily be fabricated. If it sells, I can give the new owner the jet and metering rod numbers to get it closer in to tune. Have a good one.
