Hi, Igor:

How did you save that image as a jpeg?  All I can do is save as a website.

Right click on it, and the pop-up menu should give you the option to save as jpeg.

Well there are two problems with that suggestion:

1. This site does NOT like .jpegs. It only likes .jpgs, if you are unloading

2. I think that Sotheby's doesn't like allowing links to their full size photos, just the small ones like this one:

Hello Mike.
You need to move the cursor on the image, click on the full size format and then save. Same process for the each picture. Not a quick procedure.
Check your email.

Interesting fact:

Firedome Glamour Group #7:
Wheel Covers
Bumper Guard Package (Front and Rear Bumper Guards)
Fender Ornaments
Roof Molding Package #2

This car has equipped with Front Fender Ornaments that included in the Glamour Group No. 7;
Although the space below GG (Glamour Group) on the cowl tag is empty;
But BG 6 (Bumper Guards) and RM 2 (Roof Moldings) are present;
So, the sign on the cowl tag should be GG7, while BG and RM should be empty;
Looks like the Fender Ornaments option were added by owner later;
Originally this car has not Glamour Group from the factory…

Igor, I never seen an 57 or 58 "Fireflite" without Fender Ornament. Think thats standart on that model without any GG stamping.

There are standard on Fireflite, optional on Firedome and not available on Firesweep

I have found the picture of the 1958 Firedome equipped with Glamour Group for comparison;
It has GG 7, but no BG 6 or RM 2 in their spaces (these items included in Glamour Group);
Unfortunately there are no pictures of the car too…

Hi, Fellas:

Thanks for all the help and advice.  Igor, I got your email.  I think it may be a browser problem on my end.  I have Chrome and Edge.  I tried both with similar results.  I may have to just download Firefox and follow Don's instructions.

No new images.  Bid to $42K at Sotheby's last year with no sale.

High bid of $35k at Mecum last week. Hard to tell if that was legitimate bidding or shill. Mecum is beginning to get more brazen with their shill bidding to just shy of reserves hoping for a whale.

The parking lights on the 58 DeSoto ..... what were they thinking when they stuck those tiny round bezels down there??? The 57s had such nicely integrated parking lights in the grille bar, but the 58s were an after thought. They could have at least shaped the bezels on the 58 versions to fit nicely in the bottom corners instead of those round bezels.

So beautiful and so much money spent on paint and trim. I would really be careful with this one..it sure looks like floors, firewall and trunk floor could be really rusty. The rust above radio and clock is
quite a shocker..how could this have been left undone..
