Location: Fort Collins, Colorado | I not having any luck locating a manifold heat riser thermostat spring for my 1960 DeSoto Adventurer 383 CI. Anyone here have any or can direct me to a source? Thanks. |

Location: northern germany | I think you aint gonna find them at a reasonable price but you can use the spring out of carburetor choke housings, or just search for bi-metallic springs or choke springs. It is all the same, but you may have to bend the ends to fit you aplication. |

Also, you will probably need the little anti rattle spring on the backside too. That is easy to find.

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado | Thanks for the tips. I have a new spring for my 49 Buick. It's a little wider than the DeSoto's but otherwise looks like it "might" fit. No harm in installing it and seeing what happens. Yes, I have located a possible fit for the anti-rattle spring. I'll try assembling it all tomorrow. Thanks again. |
