Interesting to see a D501 badge and D501 license plate, seeing that he has a normal 315 Hemi (1956 D500) available with the car, and all D501 cars were Coronets.

I've emailed the seller with a request for details about the engine, e.g. engine number, to see if he comes back with D500-nnnn or KD500-nnnn.

And yes, all the "501" references are BS/wishful thinking.

I sense that the D501, if that's what it actually had when it left the factory, is long gone. It's a shell without a drive train. He'll throw in a 56 Dodge engine for another 6K. The factory air is likely gone as well, except for the knobs and switches on the dash.

Also, this was a seriously rusted car. The floorboards have been completely replaced with flat sheet metal and welded in. The driver's door has a healthy dent in it as well.
