I didn't realize how similar the '35 DeSoto Airflow looked to the VW Bug. I'm sure it was a much better car, as I've yet to encounter a worse designed car than the Bug.

California Storage Unit Find: 1935 Desoto Airflow SG Coupe. 1 of 418 coupes produced in 1935. One of the first American auto manufacturers to use a wind tunnel for the design process. Very sleek shape with all normal "wind drag" components grafted into the body or eliminated. Stored for an unknown amount of time by longtime owner. 241 C.I. 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual w/overdrive. Pop-out split windshield, dual cowl vents, split rear window, factory add-on radio, antenna, red artillery wheels, complete spare with cap, slide-lock vent windows front & back for great "airflow". Originally gray (I have an original polaroid of it) but now black. Paint will clean up and look really good. Very clean and complete original car with no rust anywhere. This is a historic relatively easy project car that I do not have space for. I have not attempted starting due to lost keys. Estate seller lost keys and title so this vehicle will be sold on a BOS. I have the last paid California registration with the unused tag from 1986. This car will need to be towed.
