Location: So. Cal		I recently purchased a large number of hemi spark plug tubes and need help identifying some of them. I have good examples of Chrysler & Dodge tubes so those are easy to pick out. Dodge tubes are shorter than Chrysler tubes. But all three of these tubes are longer than the Chrysler.

The tube on the right side is chrome plated steel and looks similar in style to the Dodge, but much longer. Could this be a stock DeSoto tube? I know nothing of the DeSoto hemi motors.
The tube in the middle has a large flange on it and is too tall to seal on a Chrysler valve cover. Could this be for an aftermarket aluminum cover of some kind? Any idea which one?
The tube on the left side is similar but with a deeper flange and no centering dimple. Any idea on this one?

Location: New Castle PA		I guess I'd need to pull one of mine to be absolutely certain, but my 1957 DeSotos have a tube design like the one on the right, with the least amount of flare at the upper end.

Location: So. Cal		Thanks. I got information from TR Waters that helped out a lot.
'56-'58 Chrysler & all DeSoto: Medium 6 1/8"
'54-'55 Chrysler & all Dodge: Short 5 29/32"
'51-'53 Chrysler: Long 6 13/32"

So the tube on the far right is from a '51-'53 Chrysler. I've never seen them chrome plated before though, so that's weird. Maybe it was from a marine application?
TR Waters also told me that the tube on the far left is a standard 426 hemi tube.
Using that, I figured out that the middle tube is from the race only 1964 426 hemi which used special tubes in it.
