| Okay this thing is like 14 inches thick... 54-60 service manual for all cars... all wiring diagrams.. and the service info, I doubt its been used much, should be broken up... but they have things like "trouble issues" and removed unneccesary info from the original manuals. Its a monster...

Location: Ramona, CA | I work for Mitchell, now a Snap-on company, and Mitchell bought National back in 1969. Been there over 30 years and started out in the department that was putting books on CDs starting in 1989. It was considered by most to be a novelty and a fad that would go away as real mechanics wanted real books in their shops. I used to have to convert those general coverage books into model specific files. Some were a real mess when for instance a carburetor article included Ford, GM, Chrysler and American Motors info in one. |

| I'm kind of impressed with the "troubleshooting" stuff.
Not sure if this is service bulletin info?
You can see on this page they have "cruising speed engine surging" fix... lots of fixes in this book.
Its insane its for all us makes and models... 54-60 |

Location: The Bat Cave, Fairborn, OH | I remember this book. My local library had a set that I used to good effect to dagnose and repair my first car, a rusty old 1957 Dodge Coronet with a 325 ci V-8 and air-cooled Torqueflite. That was way back over 50 years ago in 1968. The information was invaluable.

| I may take a look at the "hints" and stuff.
I think they got the bulletins after the fact and added the "troubleshooting" info...
Seems kind of crazy they talk a lot about carb fixes |
