I'm working on a 56 New Yorker 2dr that I bought from a fella who had removed the hood ornament and the letters from the front facia and filled them in.

I got a hood ornament to put back on it, but am looking for the set of Chrysler letters. Let me know if you have any you'd like to sell and how much.

Mike

Mike,
I have a complete set. You are talking about the small letters?
I'll try and get you some pictures this week. They are still on the nose piece.

I was able to get out early this morning and take some pictures.
The CHRYSLER letters look in very good shape. I'll take $40.00 for the letters plus shipping.
I don't know where you are located, but you can have the whole fascia, letters and valance for $50.00 plus freight.
If you are anywhere near Colorado, you can pick it up.
Bob

Bob, thank you for shooting me the note on the items you have for sale.

I have a good front fascia so I don't necessarily need it. But would love to buy the letters from you. But if you just want to unload the whole thing, 50.00 is certainly reasonable.

Sorry for my slow response. Send me your address and let me know how much extra the shipping will be and I'll send you a check. When that clears you can ship the pieces to me.

Would that work?

Oh, thanks a lot, Bob! It’s a great find to my collection!

It’s a ’56 New Yorker 4 Door Sedan (MODEL 45);
Painted in Westpoint Gray Color (PAINT 26) and trimmed in Gray Petit Point Nylon and Gray Sculptured Brocatelle (TRM 43);
Scheduled (built) on December 10, 1955 approximately (SCHED 080) and it was 83th car built that day (ITEM 0283)…

It has equipped with FACTORY Heater (F4) and Solex Tinted Glass (G1) Only…
Unfortunately NO FACTORY Radio and NO Power Steering car!!! (No Power Windows and Seats as well)
Powerflite and Power Brakes were standard…

What does the 9576 indicate?

It’s a body number Nathan.
I guess it’s a 8576th New Yorker Sedan built (they started at 1001 and up)

*****

P.S. Not sure for power steering availability…

Interesting that the data plate indicates no power steering. The car belonged to our family attorney and I know it had power
steering back in the late 60's. When I got the car in the late 90's it still had P/S. Maybe the entire system was a dealer add on??
All the other data appears to be correct.
Thanks for the info.

Bob

I just emailed you my address. So just let me know. I do have a PayPal account if that would work better for you. Thanks and have a nice weekend.

Mike

Igor

You already translated my data plate for my 56 New Yorker 2 dr coupe. You were pretty spot on with your information, and you sent me pictures of what my car would have looked like originally.
