Subject: 1959 dodge cr trunk divider board ?

is the 1959 dodge  cr 4 door hardtop  suppose to have a divider board  behind the rear seat to eliminate sound  travel ?

Location: So. Cal		I don't know specifically about your car, but in general, cars from '57-'59 had a thin cardboard barrier in the trunk. It's purpose seems to be aesthetic more than as a barrier of any kind.

Location: Southwest VA		Here's a picture of the divider board in my '58 DeSoto when I first removed the rear seat after it had sat in a shed for 46 years. As you can see, it was also covered by a thin plastic sheet, but that could've been added when the seats were redone in the late 60's.
