This predates my joining the FL forum so it might be a repost. I found some very interesting info in the article, including the adaptation of small block Mustang headers and a Chevy LS1 intake.
My father had a 2 bbl 235 hp 318 poly in his 65 Fury III (later I had a 318 LA in my 68 Fury I). I regret that I didn't respect his 318 poly as much as I should have. (now that I have learned from various sources how underrated the 318 poly was). He did pull the family 16 ft travel trailer with it so it had some guts.

Location: Perth Australia | I read about this. It took some messing around to build this engine, especially with using an LA engine block and what needed to be done to
adapt the poly heads to it.
I do like the intake set up though and how the coolant outlets and crossover are done. Not sure how I would set up a thermostat though, perhaps
you could use one that would go in the bottom hose and just run the 2 outlets to the top tank?
Anyway, it is a good read if you havnt read it yet |
