Location: So. Cal | What have people done to use the 241-270 hemi heads on a 315-325 block to prevent it from leaking oil at the top edge of the pushrod holes? I have put them on and found the holes are indeed exposed a little bit beyond the head surface. Do you have to braze them up at the top and then file it back down, or do you epoxy the head gasket at the top end of it? Looking for practical solutions to make it work reliably.
I terms of valve sizes, it doesn't seem like a big deal to install the large size valves into the earlier head and massage the bowls & ports to match them. Any issues with a lack of material and cutting into the water jackets that I should be aware of? |

Location: N.W. Fla. | They put 241 heads on a 315 on the old webrodder site. Don't remember them having any problems. The really thin margin at the top of the head to block wasn't an actual problem. |
