No wiper motor in car. Got junkyard motor and off it went for rebuild. Repaired and ready to go but I don't have any idea of how to hook up the switch. I know a wiring diagram may help me but looking for any photos of back of switch and where the wires go.

Also is there a process to bench test the switch. Thank You Kindly.

It might depend on whether you have one speed or two speed or variable speed wipers. I will go out to my unheated garage a bit later and lay under 56 Custom Royal dash and get some photos. Once it has warmed up a bit (2 C, about 36 F right now)

In the meantime, there are these:

Oooo...it warmed up to a whole 6 C (43 F??). Anyway, I went out the car (56 Dodge Custom Royal and assumed the astronaut position) and took some photos.

Mine is a variable speed wiper which has one switched power to a 5 amp circuit breaker and then four wires at the switch that then enter a bundle and head to the back of the wiper motor (no idea what goes on in there, wiring-wise)

Afterwards, I searched for and found a wiring diagram in the 56 Chrysler FSM that shows the same four wire colours and then I determined that the 56 Dodge variable speed wiper switch was 1658 759 (the 56 Plymouth switch looks the same but is PN 1658 758).

Hope these photos and diagrams help:
