so got my end of the year bonus burning a hole in my pocket and I'm curiously looking into options of going 4 link on my 56 T&C. I know there's all kinds of universal kits out there but wasn't sure if anyone had any personal experience or recommendations. last thing I'd want to do is be on the highway when some garbage made suspension component gives out!

Greg: Seems nobody got back to you. That might mean that they didn't know of a 4 link kit for a leaf spring car. I know they are out there for coil spring cars but maybe not so much for leaf spring cars.

Your Town and Country wagon will (should) have some pretty beefy springs already, i.e. 6 or 7 leaf, that would act like two bars (left and right) of a four bar system.

"Rumour" has it that either the 55 or 56 Imperials had an an additional articulate bar that connect the rear axel to a bracket on the frame. I have searched for a photo of this "mythical" Imperial rear suspension but so far I haven't find anything.

Probably something like this after market (probably DIY) as Nathan (Powerflite) found on one of the 56 Fury cars that he bought in the last few years:

Ha. Bumped into some Imperial rear axle control strut info today and documented in a new thread:
