1959 DODGE oem air cleaner... what filter brand fits correctly ?

Subject: 1959 DODGE oem air cleaner... what filter brand fits correctly ?

need your help........ Looked up on internet for a air filter for a 59 dodge  stock air cleaner filter and it came up with a fram brand CA 160 .... I bought one  and fleetfarm and it is too shallow  by a 1/2"  .. the lid sits too deep into to housing . lid will not sit flush.  what  brand are all you guys using apparently Fram is not a good fit . Thanks for your help !

I am not a 59 Dodge owner but I am running a modified 413 Golden Lion 4 bbl air cleaner on my 56 Dodge 315 hemi.

I think that you should be looking at a Mopar OEM Air Filter Element L-150 PN 1826 119 or 1946 923 which crosses to a Fram CA 162 or WIX 42041

FRAM CA 162

Inside Diameter Top 7.734 IN
Outer Diameter Bottom 10.000 in
Dimensions - Height 3.266 IN

WIX 42041:

Outer Diameter Bottom 9.937 IN
Outer Diameter Top 10.250 in
Inner Diameter Bottom 7.687 IN
Dimensions - Height 3.160 in

That's good news.

Here is some back up for the CA 162 selection and the OE PNs 1826 119 and 1946 923 .
