The designers surely was high on something; The idea is that the driver is flying his space rocket against a planet with four space stations with the black space only lit up by stars in the background - far out! The EL system was developed by managing engineer of lighting Paul J Blinkilde of Engineering Division of Chrysler corporation and Joseph M Harris manager of panelecent lighting of Sylvana Lighting Products. The EL system was developed for to have a glare free panel lighting that didn't disturb the driver as part of Chryslers safety program. The pages comes from Styling and Engineering Feaautures 1960 Chrysler, preproduction confidential presentation sep 28 1959 (Instrument_Panel-rez.jpg) (Instrument_Panel-2-rez.jpg) Attachments ---------------- Instrument_Panel-rez.jpg (555KB - 51 downloads) Instrument_Panel-2-rez.jpg (532KB - 52 downloads) | ||
