Nope.

Has to be < 259 kB (1024 x 768 works well)

.jpg is good. .jpeg from iPhone sort of works but not that well. Regardless, has to be < 250 kB.

Thank you Thank you for that!! Awesome job, I guess i was wrong about how they're read, the Chrysler's read down on that middle column, at least the 57 I had so I thought it 389,399,411, 473 and 484 but you listed just that last number going across, is there a place that information can be found? And there's a doppleganger in Europe somewhere, haha!! Great stuff!!

389, 399, 411, 473, 484 are the correct codes for those numbers. Igor just didn't spell them all out for you when he posted it.

Yes, you are right – 1957 (and 1958) Chrysler / Imperial data plate codes are matching to the order codes, but 1957, 58, and 59 Dodges ARE NOT!
Except 1958 and 1959 Dodges built at Newark Delaware plant.
Besides that Dodge data plate codes are also differ depending by 57, 58, or 59 model year!
If you want to understand this issue more deeply – here we go:

MIDDLE ROW FROM LEFT TO THE RIGHT:

Data plate code 389 = order code 419 – Fin End Chrome Inserts
Data plate code 399 = order code 429 – Rear Quarter Panel Ornaments – Chevrons
Data plate code 411 = order code 501 – Undercoating and Underhood Insulating Pad
Data plate code 473 = order code 313 – Accessory Group – “Deluxe Radio Heater” that included:

Heater and Defroster (order code 345)
Back Up Lights (order code 392)
Left Outside Remote Control Mirror (order code 402)
Inside “Mirror Matic” Glare Proof Mirror (order code 405)
Radio Music Master (order code 441)

Data plate code 484 = order code 314 – Accessory Group – “Convenience” that included:

Air Foam Rear Seats (order code 352)
Handbrake Warning Signal (order code 394)
Trunk Light (order code 395)
Map Light
Glove Box Light
Visor Vanity Mirror
Windshield Washer (order code 521)
Variable Speed Windshield Wipers (order code 522)

This information can be found in the any ’59 Dodge build sheet like this:

By the way, there is no info about transmission, power steering, brakes, seat, heater and solex tinted glass on the ’59 Dodge data plates;
These items can be found in the build sheet only in 29x, 301, 302, 303, 345 and 46x columns;
According to the data plate, your car has not FACTORY power windows, air conditioning, dual rear antennas, etc…

Regarding the trans, highly likely that your car is equipped with Torqueflite;
The ’59 Dodge brochure says that Coronets have 3-speed Manual transmission as standard equipment,
Royals have 2-speed Powerflite, while Custom Royals have 3-speed Torqueflite, BUT…

This brochure got correction later: all series have manual transmission…

So dual rear antenna would show on the data plate? It's got holes there on the body but I guess they could've been retrofitted

So, to correct what was incorrectly stated earlier, 411 is the hood ornament. If the car had Solex, it would be coded in position 42.

Dual Antennas are not stamped on the data plate as a separately option;
Just only if they included in the “Ornamental” accessory group – order code 318 – data plate code 338;
So, it might be a factory-installed option…

Ron, hood ornament has code 408 (must ends on “8”); I’ve never seen “8” in the 41x column. Do you?
Could you post some data plate picture to confirm that?

Ok.
I posted a data plate picture and build card from this link:

http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=50718&...

This car has tinted windshield (order code 465 in the build card).
I see a twin nines only and DO NOT SEE “5” in the position 42 on the data plate!!!

I have pictures with 421, 422, 424 codes on the data plates – in the 42 position as well;
There are no solex tinted glass options ends on “1”, “2” or “4”!!!
1959 Dodge offered two types of solex glass: 466 – all tinted and 465 – windshield only
Sorry…

BTW this car has also hood ornament – code 408 on the build card;
The 41x position on the data plate is EMPTY too…

You make assumptions that the build sheet relates to the data plate. In some cases, it does. In others, it doesn't. My statements are based on researching these cars for decades. There could be errors in production that aren't caught, like leaving off the hood ornament.

It does (did) have a hood ornament, I'll let you know about the tinted glass. Thanks for everything so far, I'll dig into it this weekend to see if a build sheet can be found.

No idea FRWL, this was a trim parts car for another CRL coupe many years ago that’s somewhere in Sweden, but this car is very restorable, the difficulty in finding the lost trim pieces and rust repair, of course, drivetrain is all there minus the radiator. I love this thing
On the big plus side, it has all the trim around the top including the unobtanium thick roof rail trim, thank you again for all the help , couldn’t find a build sheet unfortunately and the last word I got from Chrysler is the records department isn’t happening right now, maybe in the future, that’s what they told me in an email
