Both the kick panels and the rear package tray were made of some kind of impregnated cardboard. They don't like water.

I made new kick panels out of ABS plastic sheet. Water is NOT going to hurt them.

I will be making a new package tray out of either 1/8" masonite or 1/8" thick mahogony "door skin", both available in lumber yards.

Both kick panels and package trays are sold on eBay but the prices are stupid.

The fellow that did my reupholster used Automotive upholstery panel board, 1/8” thick, black, waterproof for kicks, doors and parcel deck. Also used it for the panel behind the back seat.

package tray you can make out of vinyl... put some backing on it also if you want... 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick foam.. or padding
