Expert Posts: 1367 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | Does anyone know who will recover brake shoes? Just want to get my parking brakes recovered as a spare. I went to a place that sold large truck parts and they put new soles on my old brakes shoes but they've been closed for 20 years.

Karl: The word you wanted for your search was "relining" as in "Brake Relining" Not sure if any of these will work for you but this is the result of searching "Brake Relining near Valley Forge, PA, USA" https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=brake+relining+ne... Hopefully one of those can help you. ![]() Edited by 56D500boy 2023-07-15 11:00 AM

Expert Posts: 1367 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | Thanks, I was drawing a blank. I knew I wasn't saying it correctly but I just couldn't think of the word. As I'm getting older, I'm having to search for words that were common at one time. I feel real sorry for the people I meet and I can't remember their names. I feel sorry for me also. Thanks again.

Karl: I am sure most of us here on the Forward Look forum are getting up there (I'm a mere 72 for example) and having the odd "brain fade" with words and names comes with the territory. My wife and I often both have problems remembering the name of "that guy (or woman)" (movie/TV start or jazz singer). Eventually we will get it (in a few hours (or days)). Often one of us will get the first or last name and the other will fill in the blanks. (We say "we need two half brains to make one whole (brain)" ) So not coming up with "relining" is not a big deal considering it is not an every day phrase anymore, in part "thanks" to RockAuto and fine Chinese craftsmen (LOL). Hope you find some body to do what needs doing. ![]() Edited by 56D500boy 2023-07-17 12:49 AM
