Veteran Posts: 239 ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Dallas,Ga. | I bought my 57 Saratoga off of Facebook marketplace last year and I have done some work on it since then. My aging body tells me I have too much stuff to do and need to manage my time better. So, I am selling my 57 Saratoga. I will get some fresh pictures on here soon, but will use the existing ones I have for now. The car originally came from The District of Columbia, as evidenced by the front plate and the decals on the windshield. It's very solid for a northern car. and being a four door hardtop a great candidate for restoration, or drive as a patina'd classic. The engine runs great, I installed an Edelbrock carb on it but I have the original which is included. The engine is the 354 poly. Work I have done since acquiring the car: New gas tank, new fuel pump, (mechanical, with Hot Heads adapter) new sending unit and filler neck for the fuel tank. I installed an AAJ front disc conversion, but have not yet hooked up the hydraulics, or rebuilt the rear drums yet. The parking brake does work, however. All the glass is good, the floors are actually pretty solid, with only a few bad spots. One discovery I made after receiving the car is that it has had "slip on" rockers installed, obviously many tears ago. I have a pair of N.O.R.S. rockers from "AMS obslolete" (formerly Mitchell's Mopars) on eBay. The transmission tries to go into gear, but won't. I would imagine after 67 years it needs a rebuild! I have approximately $5,500+ in the car including purchase price, shipping, and all the parts I have bought. I would like to break even, but I will consider realistic and reasonable offers. The car is sold with a Bill of Sale, as titles aren't required in Georgia (I'm near metro Atlanta). I purchased the car from a gentleman in Jacksonville Florida last fall and I only got a bill of sale from him, as he never titled it in Florida. Other parts I have bought that are included with the car are: N.O.S. tie rod assemblies, trunk lock with key, a good used grille assembly, a good used right front door handle (the one on the car is cracked, typical). An extra tail light lens, new belts,etc.. My best contact method is my e-mail. zachs442@bellsouth.net I will probably list it on marketplace as well. Veteran Posts: 239 ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Dallas,Ga. | I am proceeding with fixing the cooling system with a new radiator, hoses, etc. As I make the car driveable the price will rise commensurate with the money I invest. The 4,500 price is off thr table. Once I get it running and driving I will market it internationally, as there are Europeans with money that really like old American cars. I recently found my former '58 Coronet for sale in England of all places! | ||
