Location: WA/USA | I am considering this on a custom I'm building, but there is not clearly a good way to route the connection to the exhaust manifold. If you have ever fitted lake pipes on a FL or any other similar framed car I'd love to get some ideas on how you went about it? |

Location: WA/USA | Thanks. I scrolled back to page 1 of that post and saw a photo ..... but going under the frame ain't gonna work when my frame is 4 inches off the ground.
I have seen photos in old mags where the car is lowered and lake pipes are mounted. Either there is some circuitous pipe routing over the frame, through the frame, or the lake pipes are just for show. Just trying to get some ideas because I'm not smart enough to figure out a good plan other than perhaps over the frame and through the inner fender with some carefully convoluted pipes. |

Location: Blythewood, SC | Not much room to go over the frame. If you don't have ground clearance to go under the frame, you likely will have to use a couple of 180 degree bends to go down from the manifold, then turn forward and around the frame inside the wheel wells. |

Location: So. Cal | Through the inner fender next to the firewall is the best way, but as you are finding out, you will likely need different exhaust manifolds that dump higher up and towards the rear (like left side C-body manifolds). Big block & 318 poly manifolds can be turned upside down to go on the right side, but it will be heading up instead of down. The best option is to use custom headers to route the exhaust where you want it. |
