Subject: How to remove ‘63 Imperial radio

I’m trying to figure out how to remove the radio on my ‘63 Imperial but I can’t figure out how the front trim comes off. I got the ashtray drawer out no problem, but the front trim is beguiling me. Any tips??

I am guessing that the trim doesn't need to be removed to remove the radio.

Pull the knobs off (straight out). That should expose a stamped metal nut on both radio stems. Remove the nuts.

The radio should be able to be pushed in a bit.

BUT it won't come out until you remove the support bracket at the bottom.

All that should then remain to be removed are the various wires (DO NOT cut them, they have female terminals)

At least that is what would be true on a 1960 Chrysler.
