Expert Posts: 4134 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Connecticut | It's crucial that you don't damage the windshield rubber in any way, as you will have to reuse it. There are no quality reproductions made. Instructions as to how to remove the windshield are in the shop manual. Read them over several times until you understand the process. It's important to understand that the gasket folds into itself. There are many threads on w/s removal and installation here on the FL site. You can use the search feature to find them. If you go to MyMopar.com, look for the MTSC films and booklets that you can watch and read online. You may have to search back to '57, but I can remember at least one devoted to glass and windshields. Good Luck. Take your time. Understand the process so you don't break the glass. Ron

Possible destroyed rubber and windschild, lots of work, etc. Derust as far as possible and then seal it carefully. This will prevent any further rusting and leaks.

I think what happened is that at the time, they saw Gary was attempting to reproduce them, and didn't want to compete with him. But after finding out the poor sales on the '55-'56 stuff, they were no longer interested to invest in the molds for any others. Edited by Powerflite 2024-09-18 8:00 PM
