My push buttons work great and the metal caps look great but the button faces are not great. The letters and numbers are faded and blurred. What can I do to restore the buttons to the original look? Can the letters/numbers be repainted? I really want them to look good in daylight and when lit at night. Has anyone done anything? I wondered about getting an old time pin striper to repaint them. Thanks for your ideas.

Here is a much better pic of those crappy RND21 buttons... Do you think a pin striper would make a difference?

You can touch up with paint and wipe off excess paint, just use a small brush.

Pick the correct font, then cover with clear lacquer.
