Ok here is a weird something I need or an idea of how to fix. My '60 Fury Steering wheel. I would love to get what I need. It is the turn signal cancelling ring that is sort of pressed onto the steering wheel hub with the little bent out tab.

If anyone has successfully repaired this little do day please let me know how. Mine broke off right at the bend. I found some propane heat and a utility knife can get the ring off.

Anyone?

Location: So. Cal		I believe that ring is made from steel, so you should be able to weld it to fix it. Heat it up before pressing it back onto the wheel. But fixing that rubber seal for the horn contact is really difficult. Fortunately there are still some NOS parts for '60-'64?, but nothing for the '57-'59.

I agree that they are stamped steel. In the parts book they are called

"FINGER, Directional Signal Switch Cancelling"



In 1955-56 the PN was 1595 235 and it made no difference whether the steering was manual or Power-assisted.

From 1957 to at least 1959, the cancelling ring had two different PNs, one for PS and one for Manual

PS = 1769 326

Manual steering = 1769 325

Use 1769325 or 1769326 (no spaces) when searching.

Len Dawson Mopar Parts has a 1769325 for the Manual Steering cars

Well I tried silver solder and nada. Managed to get it clamped so I can hit with a spot weld. See if that works. Thanks everyone.

Anyone out there know why there is a different T/S canceller part for power steering?
It seems that the manual T/S canceller (P/N 1769325) would work fine with a PS turn signal switch.

I understand that the PS cars need the horn contact and ring parts to route the horn wiring.
But the rest of the turn signal switch looks to be the same for manual and PS cars.
It doesn't look like the manual T/S canceller would interfere with the horn contact, so shouldn't it
work with a PS turn signal switch?

The reason I ask, is that I'm in the process of switching over to PS and can't find a PS canceller (P/N 1769326).
I have the manual T/S canceller, horn contact and ring.

I can't find an image of either the 1769 326 or the 1769 325 cancelling rings but I am wondering whether the difference is the diameter of the inner "hole"
being different between the manual and the PS steering columns. (???)

I'm thinking that the PS version is the one shown in the picture next to the horn contact ring, since the horn contact ring is only used with PS.
I know what the manual cancelling ring looks like, since I have one and it is easy to find online. I'll try to post a picture of it.

"1769325 1957 Mopar signal light turn signal cancelling ring'

and found a couple including this:

Well, I went ahead and installed the Manual T/S cancelling ring on my PS wheel yesterday.
Everything seems to work fine - turn signals cancel and horn works!

Still a mystery why the other PS part looks like or why it even exists?
