does anyone know from where I could get a working Powerflite torque converter for a '56 277 cid poly, preferably from within Scandinavia?

To help you and your Scandavian Mopar buddies look for what you are hoping to find, it will be an air-cooled converter with fins that was used on a wide range
of 55-56 Mopars.
