On a 59 Dodge Coronet, what size is the brake line from the master cylinder to the Junction on the frame rail? Thanks, Shep

They use a hose to go from the master cylinder to the junction block. At the junction block, the connection is the same as is used on a standard 1/4" tube nut. The actual thread is 7/16"-24 on those. So if you are replacing that with a solid line, I recommend using a 3/16" line, but with a 7/16"-24 tube nut.

Hose is used because of possible flex between the body & frame may eventually cause a hard line to break.....

Helping friend over the phone, he's converting to a dual master, with 2 3/16 line ports, will that size fit into the hose junction.

Yes, as I stated before. However, the standard 3/16 tube nuts won't work in it. Standard 3/16 tube nuts are 3/8" - 24. But that junction block is 7/16"- 24. So you need to purchase those larger sized nuts to make it work.

Take a look at “agscompany.com”. Their website will give you a complete list of brake line fittings and thread sizes. Typically the 3/16 brake line uses an inverted flare fitting. As Powerflite stated there is a 3/8 and a 7/16 thread sizes used.
