Has anyone figured out another fuel pump option for a '57 Dodge 325 Poly? I'm only asking because I'm planning a long trip in the car for June, and the fuel pump really is my only concern. Not that it's failing, but if it does, I know I won't be buying one off the shelf at the parts store.
I realize I can put in an electric pump in a pinch, but curious if anyone has discovered another mechanical fuel pump that works in that application? Or has uses an adapter plate, or something?

Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon		The LA pump can be used on the Dodge and Chrysler with a ½" spacer. I have a couple left if you want one. $20 ppd

Location: N.W. Fla.		There's been problems for 20 years with OEM F/Ps. As Gary ( "Wayfarer" i.e. QEC), & 56D500boy said, get the adaptor & be done with it. P.S. Gary is a great guy to work with! :-)

Thanks for the info, and thanks Gary! I installed one spacer on the 325 in my '57 Dodge Royal. I had to grind the top of the spacer as well as the top of the fuel pump, but it's all plumbed in and pumping fuel. The other spacer is for a 354 Poly I put in my '58 Plymouth 2 door Suburban.
