Location: Peoples Republic of Oregon		Undersize bearings. I have seen some that also indicate the amount. In 1975 a friend bought a new truck with the 440.
It was additionally marked with '060'.....

Not sure if I had seen a 1958 "L" engine stamping before, definitely an L-350 "B" block. So that is a new data point for me.

The other thing to note is the "LC" stamping. I have seen that before on Steve B's 315 Poly in the Sydney (OZ) area. Steve and I "determined" (made
a plausible wild @ssed guess) that LC meant the engine was built in the US for export to countries that might not have high test (high octane)
gas (petrol) so they dropped the compression ratio down.

Not sure how that was done. Two quick and dirty possibilities would be double up the head gaskets *OR* install a thicker than normal head gasket.
My guess would be the first one (double head gaskets).

Have a look.

Going back 60 years or so, the cross stamp meant, an engine coming out of the factory with an undersized journal on the crank. That’s all I remember.
