This "project" is a result of it being too cold for me to work on my 56 Dodge in the garage and the potential for me adding exchanging the original 56 Dodge D500 2443S WCFB for a 59 Dodge AFB with appropriate jetting. This required that I learn more about my 2443S and its parts and whether there were commonalities. In the end, I have failed because I cannot find the Carter data sheet for the 2787S AFB that I have (anybody??) But I do have a 345 page searchable pdf of the multipage WCFB detail "Forms" and the 55-58 and 59 Mopar parts catalogues (as searchable pdfs) that I could search and document in hopes of finding more about the 2443S and its contemporaries and, I hoped, eventually the 2787S AFB. Yes I know that the metering rods are entirely different but I was looking for sizes. I got some interesting info. As I looked through the 345 page document, one thing that was surprising (to me) was a Pontiac WCFB that was very very close in spec to the 56 D500 WCFB (See table below). Rather than waste my "research" totally, I have put my "findings" in a spreadsheet table (copy below), in case some one might find it useful  If you have info that I am missing, please reply to this post, especially if you have the Carter Form for the 2787S AFB. Sources of info: 1. Late last week I was able to "procure" some Carter info Forms for some 58-59 AFBs, including the 59 Dodge 361 B-block 2787S that I am planning to try on my 56 D500 315 instead of the 2443S WCFB that is on there now. So I've added some AFB info to the table (see below). Since posting Rev 0, last week I have not found any better source of potential 2443S parts (jets and rods) than that 56 Pontiac 2364S WCFB. (IF you could find one on eBay needing rebuilding for cheap). The other thing that I am starting to learn is the manner in which a WCFB flows is different than an AFB. As a result, I cannot just compare the jet and rod sizes of a WCFB and an AFB and decide that one is smaller or larger than the other. I might be able to compare the size of the annular space between a WCFB jet and rod and the annular space between an AFB jet and rod and make a guess as to which on is larger/smaller. I am not there yet but over the weekend, I had a poke inside the 2787S AFB that I have and confirmed that indeed it has 16-45 primary jet rods. I was amazed that the tiny diameter rod is actually stamped "16-45". How they did that is nuts.
