---1956 Dodge Royal Lancer

This is my Lancer I purchased in 2011. It has the original 315 Poly 4-barrel 230hp V8 engine and 2- speed Powerflite transmission. I was surprised by how well it accelerates and cruises at hwy speeds. Though I haven't gone over 100mph yet, I have come very close. The paint is original, except for some amatuer touchup. The seat covers were replaced with an incorrect pattern in the 1960's, but the door panels are original and in good shape. While it definitely isn't a show car it still gets plenty of thumbs up. One of the things I love about it is the car was purchased locally and spent it's entire life within 50 miles of here. I will keep it original as long as possible, then restore it back to original color and interior. I may tweak the engine some when the time comes.

This is the second 1956 Dodge I've owned. The first was a Coronet D-500 sans motor that didn't get off the ground before I traded it.

Chrome with a little bit of paint. :)

Love the fins.

The dash and steering wheel were pretty dirty, but they cleaned up well.

All dash gauges and radio work.

Chrome still has some shine to it.
