Hi GFSers, GFSer Kay Williams of Denton, TX called me today and had some interesting info and also some needs. He purchased a '57 Fury new and still has the original Owners Plaque that the Dealer forwarded to him after the purchase. He says it is identical to the '58 Plaque in the latest Newsletter. Subsequently, Kay bought a second '57 Fury, then a '58 Fury. And then after many years now has his third '57 which he is restoring. So my thoughts that the plaque debuted in '58 were wrong and that this plaque was used on at least 2 of our 3 GF years. So certainly agree that '56ers were gypped and now we can correct that oversight. Kay also said, on his way back from the Fall Classic in Northern California, he stopped at the Riverside Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, NV and they have an auto museum - as you come in the door of it, there is a beautifully restored '57 Fury! We will add to the Registry as an "Incomplete Info" - will have to tell the spouse we need to visit Laughlin, NV this Winter on GFS business, Ha. Kay is also in need of the plastic headliner strips for his '57 - any sources for him? Glenn, John Paxos, Mark - any ideas for Kay? Also that chrome strip under the trunk below the trunk lid.
