Re: [GFS] Re: 1956 Fury headliner & carpet

Somewhere down the road, I will need the same items but Kanter will not be my source. They are very strong on Packard stuff but other items are a crap shoot. We got a carpet for a ' 66 Imperial, from them, which wasn't great. The material was thin and it was cut short. We had to use screws to hold the carpet to the sill joint so it would remain under the scuff plate. On the other hand, a carpet that we got from B.A.P. Carpet worked very well for a ' 56 Chrysler. The headliner is not a problem for a good local trim shop to sew; that is what I will do. We had a trim shop, here in Indianapolis, sew a headliner for that same ' 56 Chrysler and it was perfect in every respect. The cost will be higher for the B.A.P. carpet and the custom sewn headliner but getting it right is worth it. Just my thoughts----Joe

Hi Group,
I am looking at Kanter company as a source for my new headliner & carpet
for my 1956 Plymouth Fury. Does anyone have experience with this company or
others regarding these items? Would appreciate your input!
Thanks,
Larry Gammon.
