It took 5 donor cars and many NOS parts to build the finest 59
Plymouth Sport Fury Rest Mod anywhere. A ten year complete rotisserie
nut and bolt restoration. Rust free, laser straight body. The body
was acid dipped, completely stripped to bare metal any rust was cut
out and replaced by new metal. Body was dipped in E Coat, and then
refinished in show quality Sand Dune White. Flawless, mirror gloss
paintwork. Every piece of chrome, stainless, trim and bright work has
been refurbished or is NOS. NOS windshield. All new side glass.
Cragar Five Spoke polished wheels. Dayton Daytona P215/70R15
Unidirectional Radial Tires. Fit and gapping on all panels is
precise.
440 cu. in. engine, 425 horsepower. Blueprinted. Balanced rotating
assembly. Ported and polished Mopar heads. Forged steel crankshaft.
Holley Performance carburetor. Billet pulley system. Coated exhaust
manifolds flow into Mopar stainless steel exhaust. Heavy duty
radiator with thermostatically controlled dual cooling fans. Accel
wires. Keesler aluminum bell housing. Centerforce 11" clutch. T-56
six speed transmission. Power Steering. Front disc brakes, rear 11"
drum brakes. New 8 3/4" differential with 3.91 Sure Grip.
The frame was also acid dipped, then powder coated. Everything is new
underneath, and highly detailed. Rebuilt and firmed up power steering
box. All new front disc brake hardware. All new 11" rear drum brakes.
New brake and fuel lines. New stainless fuel tank. All new NOS
springs, suspension, bushings, etc. New wiring harness. All fasteners
are stainless steel.
Complete NOS Sport Fury interior. 1959 Sport Fury Swivel Seats. Power
Windows. Restored dash with completely refurbished gauges. Refinished
steering wheel. Factory AM Radio rebuilt and converted to AM/FM with
trunk mounted Sony 10 disc CD changer and Sirius Satellite Radio. All
new seals, weather stripping, jam seals, etc. Auto-Gage Tachometer.
Auto- Gage Water, Oil, and Volt Gauges. Car completed May 2004 and
only driven 3,000 cruising miles since.
