Hi Folks,
Sure have to agree with George and John regarding
the lagging indicator that Old Cars Price Guide provides. Two '56 Furys
just ended on eBay, one restorable and complete with all parts to include 4
excellent looking turbines, and another rough '56, together just barely got
close to $700 -- and didn't meet reserve. I can remember bidding $900 for
equivalent turbines alone some years back and the winning bidder got them for
$1400!! The "times are a changing" to quote a favorite folk music group of
our primes. Maybe Nancy Pelosi is right, that the only place for a '56
Fury (& '57 Cheby, & '69 Mustang, & etc) is in a museum?! I
guess we have to repaint our cars from egg shell white, etc to "green"?
Ha, "that'll be the day" (by the Crickets)!!
