What about Dawn dish soap? It cuts grease really well (we use it in the 
restaurant). Or would that be too foamy?

Yes I have done this several times.    I use the powered soap.  Just put 
some in the raditator.  About the same amount as your wife put in the wash 
machine to do clothes.   I run it for 20 miles or so, then dump and flush. 
Sometimes I ha ve had to do it a couple of times.   Works for me. l Like a 
fellow said in another post he use cascade automatic dish soap. Both work 
great and a lot better than the commercial stuff that you buy from the parts 
stores.
