Re: IML: '65 & '66 Radio

Per the '66 brochure: "The FM/AM and AM radios include : touch-tuning with a finger bar or floor switch, in addition to pushbuttons, rear seat speaker with rheostat volume control and power antenna - at no additional cost."

This was a new radio over the '64 and '65 FM/AM radios which did not have search tune nor the foot switch. Stereo came another year or two later as a stand alone item apart from the radio.

I stand corrected, but I still think that there was something different between the two. Does your AM/FM have the "Local/Dist Wonder Bar" over the radio dial? If it doesn't, that is the difference that I was thinking of. It has been so many years ago.

As I recall, the '65 and '66 radio option was either an AM radio with
search tune and foot switch, or an AM/FM radio without search tune and
floor switch. Reverb was available for both.
