Kenyon,

Is this an electronic ignition car? I had an elusive problem with one
before. It turned out to be the reluctor pickup coil. Worked fine when cold,
but after a while it exhibited similar problems to yours. I changed it out
and all my problems went away.

cleaning the bulkhead connectors solved half of the
problems.  The worst half, I might add.
