Based on the block no. the year is a 1971-1974 360CID. It was the last
engine of the LA (lower A) family, meaning it had a lower deck height. It
has a 4.00 in bore and a 3.58 in stroke. I don't know what the J stands for on
the Heads.
The heads should have a casting no. also.
If the number on the heads is 3418915 the heads could
be 1970-1972.
If the number on the heads is 3671587 the heads could be
1973-1974.
This could narrow the year range of the engine down some. Maybe someone
else could provide more insight.
