IML: Anyone Looking For A 1950 Chrysler New Yorker?

I saw one this afternoon about two miles from here( Rising
Sun, MD) that looked like a car that could be restored
without major difficulty.

It has been stored for a long time in someone's barn and the
paint is mostly all surface rust, but the car is solid and
the chrome and bumpers are all there. I took my fingernail
on the chrome and gently scraped off a small area of the
front fender chrome and it looked real shiny after removing
the oxidation layer.

The interior is original- headliner and even the floor
carpets. Interior would be probably the least amount of
work. Has seatcovers on the front seat and the top half of
the back seat.

It also has a straight eight engine that looks to be pretty
good-- no accumulated layer of dirt and grease and no
obvious oil leaks around the engine. Even had a water bottle
for the windshield cleaner. Mileage shows about 83K.

Anyone want more, I'll stop again and send pics as
requested.

Don't know what the asking price is, but I think the Price
Guides for a # 4 is some where around $2000.
