Re: IML: Where pin stripes original on 66crowns?

Kelly,

It's been a while now (long before you joined the IML), but there was an ongoing thread about pinstripes.  You may want to research the archives if you're interested in reading all/some of the posts.  Pinstripes were available on the '65 Lebarons but not sure if the lesser Crowns had them from the factory or not.  I am going to have the same style that was hand painted on the Lebarons also hand painted on my '65 convertible when the time comes to do so.  I would think some of the literature from '66 might show a Crown with factory pinstriping.

Bottom line:  It's your car and if you want to put stripes on it, that is your prerogative.  Since they were available on the Lebarons, I wouldn't be surprised if a Crown owner back in '66/67 might have had them applied to his/her Crown.

Best regards,

Subject: IML: Where pin stripes original on 66crowns?

Hello, I recently saw a photo of a 66 lebaron and it had pin stripes down the side. Does anyone know if my 66 crown would have had them?
It has them on the glass light covers
Thanks, Kelly, Nashville Tn.
