RE: IML: classic car insurance

Hagerty in my opinion is one of the best.. a friend of mine had just gotten the powertrain installed in his Superformance Cobra which he insured with them..
He got ass-ended by a minivan his second ride out... it probably could have been repaired but Hagerty totaled it and gave him the full amount it was insured for.. no problems of issues according to him ($35-$40k)..
I got one (Cobra) and tried to insure it with them but they stopped the Cobra insurance thing due to a high fatality rate (go figure.. 2200lbs.,400+hp , nos system hmm).
So I have been with Parish Heacock for the last 5 yrs.. never made a claim but every year my policy premium goes down a little (yes down).. I just insured a 1970 Triumph Bonneville (fuel conservation but tough to move appliances) with Hagerty (P-H doesn't do bikes).. min. value $5k.. I like P-H because they trust you to decide where you drive... They just have the 3K mile maximum but you can buy more miles if you like..
It is the historical plates here in MI that supposedly limit the usage.

Anyone recommend a classic auto insurance company? getting ready to put one
on the road and I want to insure it with antique tags here in PA. I got a
quote from Hagerty for 90.00$ a year-are they a reputable company? I put a value
of 2000.00$ on it and it kicked back saying I had to have a 3500.00$ minumum
on it. Is this what they will then insure it at, as far as value goes?
Thanks, Charlie 38 bs cp
