Two tone Imperials were up through 1961. Although it isn't very much, the optional two toning was done in the roof panels. Just 1962 and 1963 were only available in solid colors, while '64 once again offered contast roof color, usually as a vinyl top. Two toning done on Imperials in the '50s was always restricted to the roof only. Exner didn't personally like multi-colored cars. If he had his way "his" Imperials would have been solid color cars.

Most definitely not factory. Wasn't 56 the last year for 2 tone Imperials? I seem to recall another 62 or 63 on eBay recently that was painted in a similar way.
