RE: IML: Gas tank insulator pads

I Used tar paper.

From: gpagency@xxxxxxx
I have seen (and asked ) alot of questions regarding gas tanks, sending units, filler necks , grommets, etc, but I haven't seen this question yet nor coulds I find anything in the archives. When replacing a gas tank the insulator pads are usually in poor shape or unusable because they have fused themseves to the tank or trunk floor. Are all insulator pads the same? Can you buy them and cut to fit? Any recommendations as to where to purchase one for a 64?
