Re: IML: 1966 Coupe trim code decoding

In my readings, the Coupe and convertible have 'aircraft' seats and the 4dr has a bench seat but the 'aircraft' is available. My '65 has M9K - the 2 seats but not 50/50 split as there is a center piece about 10 inces wide for an armrest.

For '65 I'm seeing ...
3 is leather bench (4dr)
5 is leather individual (special order in 4dr)
7 is leather & cloth (4dr)

I don't think the number is "type & upholstery" as
8 is leather individual (LeBaron - H)
and leather & cloth individual (2dr HT - M)

9 is leather individual (all 2dr)

Those wouldn't be buckets. They are probably 50/50 split bench seats.
Buckets are very different.

A '66 Coupe with bench seats? I thought they all had 50/50 "buckets" like
mine with separate tracks and motors.

M = Trim Grade - Medium
9 = Seat Type & Upholstrey - Bench seat - cloth & vinyl
L =- Colour - No "L" for 1966, but in 1965 it was Gold & Black

My tag say my '66 Coupe's trim code is M9L but I cannot find a
resource to tell me what that means. My interior is very sunbaked and
I am getting quotes and samples from online vendors. Can someone
decode it for me? Thanks
