Import duties.  The bodies for the Turbine cars were built by Ghia in Italy.
The duties on 50 vritually hand-built cars would have come to a pretty
penny.  Thus the government permitted Chrysler to pay duty only on the units
they kept.  Chrysler did not have to pay duty on the cars they destoyed.

Okay, help me out here!  I read the brief article.  It states the government
required the turbine cars be destroyed or dismantled.  Why did they have to
be destroyed?  What am I missing?
