RE: Re: IML: fan clutches

hi Jay
Reading John Sadaoski post that the clutch is for all they way up to my 75. I also got my new one from NAPA. It fit well but like I said it was shorter than the old one, this made the fan closer to the motor and out of the fan shroud and was to far from the radiator to heat up to lock in. NAPA sold a spacer kit to mover it closer to the radiator and it works fine now.  This may not be the case on your car. Just note were the fan sits now on the old one and look at the hight of the two clutches.

Actually, I went to NAPA today and they found the fan clutch from hayden in the catalogue.  part number 2707 (I believe) - only 42 bucks out the door.  Of course, when I get off work and home, I'll compare to make sure it's the right one.

Thanks o all.

Jay
