Re: IML: 1956 Imperial or Crown Imperial

You don't need to read the vin code to determine that about a 1956 model. All standard production Imperials that year were Customs or Custom Southamptons (meaning pillarless hardtop). Crowns were eight passenger sedans or limo's.

Subject: IML: 1956 Imperial or Crown Imperial

Hi;

Is there a way to read the vin number on my 56 to see if it is a custom or crown imperal?
