Re: IML: speedometer needed

The way I do it is to remove the cable from it's sheeth, usually at the speedometer end, and clean it as good as I can. I then lube up the forst 2/3 of the cable with dry graphite powder, as I feed it back in.

I was away this pass weekend on a motorcycle trip to West Virginia. I'll try it this coming weekend.

Thanks for asking.

Have you tried cleaning and re-lubing the cable?

Hello Gang,

Would anybody on the list have a speedometer for a '75 Imperial? My speedometer needle bounces back and forth when driving, and sometimes is on 60-80 mph when stopped. The previous owner told me the gear ratio in the speedometer is all messed up. So I would like the entire speedometer face. If anybody has one to sell please contact me off list with a price.
