RE: IML: Best Lookin' of 'Em All



As I've stated on here before, ANY Imperial trumps any non-Imperial, but there is just something about those '55's and '56's...
I would be delighted to own a '56, but there is something about those radiused wheel-openings, those chrome head-light rings, that neat one-year-only shifting-lever, and that lovely gaudy-but-tasteful rear-bumper assembly. These cars represent the point at which the Imperial bravely stepped out in a style all its own, and never again looked very conventional. Most subsequent Imperials carried some cue reverting back to one or both of these two beautiful cars.
