Thanks.  I did go to the site and read all the responses.  The line going to the pump was hitting the new battery i put in which wouldn't allow it to self tighten. I adjusted it and now it works.  I didn't see that rubber snubber that you mentioned. I don't understand how it works, but it does and i'm happy that it works again.
